Financial Reforms

  • Restore our democracy to a government for the people by the people instead of a government for the few at the expense of the many.
  • Enforce banking and corporate regulation so that the economic health of the country is restored and future corruption is avoided.
  • Remove the influence of money from the political decision making process
  • Demand that America’s wealth be reinvested in America
  • Create an environment that enhances the economic health of the middle class

Specific Actions

  • Reinstate Glass Steagall
  • Audit the FED
  • Overhaul the tax code that favors the wealthy
  • Expunge the Bush Era Tax Cuts
  • Amend the Constitution to publicly finance elections, reverse 085-205 and reform the influence of lobbyists
  • Review all regulations of the financial system by a non partisan committee
  • Stimulate job growth through initiatives that demand that offshore money be reinvested in the US and stem the flow of outsourcing

Political Reform

  • Make common Americans a legislative priority
  • Make decisions based on sustainability
  • Inform the electorate accurately so that we may have meaningful elections
  • Alter the political party process for greater choice in candidates
  • Deal with our national debt in a competent and compassionate way
  • Make education and healthcare a right not a privilege

Specific Actions

  • Advocate for the laws and policies that apply to us to also apply to Members of Congress.
  • Advocate for developing and implementing sustainable and renewable energy sources
  • Make common Americans a legislative priority
  • Make decisions based on sustainability
  • Inform the electorate accurately so that we may have meaningful elections – proportional balloting
  • Alter the political party process for greater choice in candidates
  • Deal with our national debt in a competent and compassionate way
  • Make education and healthcare a right not a privilege
  • Analyze subsidies with regard to their effectiveness for the 99% by a nonpartisan committee
  • Support common and public Airways
  • Keep the Internet free and open
  • Provide assistance to people who are losing their houses
  • Dismantle public financing for the war industry
  • Allow election information to only be aired by media donated time on public venues
  • Change education reform efforts to be less harmful to public educational institutions
  • Revisit health care reform so that it addresses costs and is universal
  • Form a third party or reform the primary process???
  • Make the ratio of elected politicians more proportionate to the population

Social Reforms

  • Recognize that the divisive and contentious nature of national politics is not working for our country
  • Restore compassion, tolerance and charity
  • Remind America to resist mindless consumerism of foreign products
  • Respect the environment and the scientists who study it

  • Have the attitude that we’re all in this together.
